Ashford Park Gets Healthy with Community Fair
The interactive health fair is scheduled for Jan. 28 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

will hosts its second annual Healthy Lifestyle Family Fair. The event is intended to interactively facilitate making informed, healthy choices and finding local resources to support the community.
The fair will be hosted at Ashford Park Elementary School, 2968 Cravenridge Dr., on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Healthy Lifestyle Family Fair, is just one aspect of Ashford Park's wellness initiatives. The school was recently awarded a $3,000 grant to participate in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. January kicks off the physical activity portion of the grant just in time for Ashford Park's annual Wellness Month.

This local treasure also passionately promotes the Farm to School initiative where Dekalb County features one locally grown produce each month in the school lunch program. The outdoor classroom is getting continued attention and the recycling programs continue to grow.
