Brookhaven Beer Fest Set For June 10

Brookhaven Beer Fest, which will feature music, vendors and of course, all kinds of beer. Event set for Saturday, June 10, from 3 to 8 p.m.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- One of metro Atlanta's largest libation-related festivals is right around the corner. The Brookhaven Beer Fest boasts more than 200 domestic and international beers and wines and features the one of the largest samplings of beers in Atlanta. And what's really cool? The event, now in its seventh year, is set for Saturday, June 10, from 3 to 8 p.m. in Brookhaven Park.

"We will have a couple of live bands and a DJ, as well as a vendor expo where artists can sell their arts and crafts," Adam Cohen, the festival's director of operations, told Patch. He said that he expecta s wide assortment of people to be there hawking their wares. "Everybody from the Atlanta Social Club to a DUI lawyer to people selling arts and crafts."

Also Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, a nonprofit organization that saves dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, in will be on hand to assist anyone looking for pet placement.

Tickets are currently on sale for Brookhaven Beer Fest, which will be at a new location on Apple Valley Road this year. The cost of entry is $30 now but will increase to $35 after Friday and be $50 at the door, Cohen said. Patch readers get a discount if they enter "Patch" in the promo code box.

The festival is organized by Spiral Entertainment, known for bringing Atlanta Luckyfest and Oysterfest. The group is looking for volunteers for the Brookhaven event.
