Brookhaven Police Arrest Three In Home Burglary
The arrests came early Thursday morning when police responded to a burglary in progress at Lenox Crossing.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Police apprehended three suspects early Thursday morning while responding to a burglary in progress at the Lenox Crossing subdivision. The homeowners were upstairs in the house when someone cut their window screen and entered the home. The victims discovered the burglary in progress and called police as the suspects fled.
Police arrived on the scene in less than one minute and arrested one of the suspects, as the others ran. A perimeter was set up and the two fleeing suspects were found hiding behind a tree with a bag filled with stolen property next to them.
The stolen property, consisting of laptops, electronics, and vehicle keys, was identified and returned to the owners. Several gift cards were also recovered, but an owner has not yet been identified.

“These very alert homeowners were able to contact us with enough information so our officers
could get these guys off the street without further incident,” said Police Chief Gary Yandura. “It’s
always a good idea for residents to check windows and doors to be sure they are locked and
secure, because criminals are checking too.”
Nineteen-year-old Gostovo Garcia was taken to the DeKalb County, and two minors, ages 15
and 13, were taken to juvenile detention.
