Brookhaven Rejects All Bids For Ashford Park Trike Park

Calling the amounts "unconscionable," Brookhaven City Manager Christian Sigman rejects bids for a proposed tricycle track at Ashford Park.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Brookhaven city leaders carefully weighed the bids for the Ashford Park Trike Track -- and the city has rejected them all. “We are rejecting all of the bids. These amounts are unconscionable,” said Brookhaven City Manager Christian Sigman.

The city opened the bidding process for the project, thinking it would cost around the $10,000 range, but only two bids came and one was for $65,000 and the other was for $75,000. So what's next for the project? Sigman said it's basically back to the drawing board. “Staff will revisit the scope of work to ensure the description is clear, and that all qualified contractors have an ample opportunity to provide a competitive bid.”
