BROOKHAVEN, GA — Police said a man accused of driving a stolen vehicle into Dunwoody patrol cars fired shots at officers first during a police chase that ended Wednesday in Brookhaven.
Dunwoody Police Sgt. Michael Cheek told Patch officers found a stolen Dodge Challenger around 7 a.m. in the area of Ashford Dunwoody Road near Perimeter Center East; and, when they tried to stop the Challenger, the driver rammed at least two patrol cars.
The driver then led police on a chase at least three miles down Ashford Dunwoody into Brookhaven, where the Challenger crashed at the Ashford Dunwoody/Ashford Club Court intersection, police said.
