Chamblee Reopens Vanet Road Crossing After Repairs (Updated)
City employees have identified 'erosion issues' and is working to address them, Chamblee says.

CHAMBLEE, GA -- The school crossing at Vanet Road in Chamblee has reopened after city workers constructed a "temporary wooden walkway," the city announced Monday.
The school crossing at Vanet Road in Chamblee was closed Friday due to safety concerns, the city said.
For several months now, Chamblee's Public Works staff has been paying close attention to "an erosion issue," the city said.

"The permanent solution will be constructed during the schools’ Spring Break, April 3-7, weather permitting," the city said in an update Monday.
Staff workers have been working with Chamblee Middle and High schools to fix the walkway, which crosses a drainage path between the schools.
