18th Street gang member Enrique "Grumpy" Fuentes was arrested after police found with a gun and several bags of drugs.

ATLANTA - A Chamblee man who is a member of the 18th Street Gang has been sentenced to federal prison on drug and firearm charges. Enrique "Grumpy" Fuentes was arrested April 25, 2018, after Chamblee police saw observed Fuentes and a female sitting in front of a restaurant. The officers then learned Fuentes had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

After Fuentes was arrested, officers searched a brown paper bag next to him and found 11 smaller plastic baggies, each containing methamphetamine, which weighed a total of 289 grams. Officers also found a .38 caliber revolver and a small scale used for weighing narcotics for distribution and sale. Fuentes was already on probation for a 2016 felony conviction.

Fuentes was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Mark H. Cohen to eight years, eight months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. Fuentes was convicted on these charges on February 7, 2019, after he pleaded guilty.
