Do You Oppose Students Being Searched in School?
A lawsuit filed Wednesday against Clayton County Schools has Metro parents debating the issue.

A male student at Eddie White Academy in Clayton County filed a lawsuit Wednesday following an incident last year in which he was falsely accused by classmates of having marijuana in his possession. The boy, then in seventh grade, was forced to strip in front of his classmates, and claimed in the lawsuit that he still suffers from emotional trauma from the incident. While many believe this incident was extreme, schools administrators, law enforcement and parents have been debating online as to when - if at all - it is appropriate to search a student if the safety of others are threatened. Haunted by events where students were killed or hurt in schools, such as the infamous Columbine incident, some believe no measure is too extreme to keep other children safe. Are you opposed to strip search or any kind search of a student?
