Downed Utility Pole Cause Hundreds of Metro Residents to Lose Power
Lightening to power pole caused the outage.

CBS Atlanta reports several hundred DeKalb County residents without power after lightning struck a power pole.
According to the report, police said they received a call that a utility pole at the corner of North Decatur Road and Suzanne Drive was struck by lightning at around 5 a.m. Thursday.
The outage resulted in about 400 Georgia Power customers being left without power, a company spokesperson said. Another hundreds across the region have also lost power due to morning storms.
