Eyre Qualifies for Reelection
The Brookhaven city councilman is seeking reelection to his District 2 seat.

Brookhaven City Councilman Jim Eyre qualified Monday to run for a second term in his District 2 seat.
“I believe I have shown a commitment to build a city that truly works for all its residents,” Eyre said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing that commitment for excellence when reelected.”
Eyre was elected to the seat last year following the city's incorporation.
The city's qualifying window continues through Thursday. District 2 and District 4, currently represented by Joe Gebbia, will appear on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.
