There was a happy ending in front of DeKalb County Animal Services on Sunday.

CHAMBLEE, GA—There was a happy ending in front of DeKalb County Animal Services on Sunday, the shelter says on Facebook.
One family, looking for their lost dog, arrived after closing to look for their beloved pet.
Another family, hoping to find a stray dog's owners, showed up shortly after. Both found what they were looking for.

The shelter told this tail-wagging tale on Facebook Tuesday.
"Right after closing time two days ago, two people arrived at our shelter to look for their lost pet," shelter staff wrote.

Some employees were preparing to help the pair when there was "excitement outside of the door."
Another family had found the missing dog, and brought it to the shelter.
Shelter staff wrote this happy reunion was a "perfect reunion of happenstance that all occurred due to the community being responsible.
"This story shows that we truly rely on you, the community, to provide happy endings for the pets in our care," shelter staff said.
