Man Confesses to Murder in Chamblee
Police used surveillance video to help find the suspects.

A 33-year-old Doraville man confessed to a weekend murder in Chamblee, CBS Atlanta reported.
Police identified the victim as Jose Rivas-Mejia 47, of the Shallowford Gardens Apartments on Shallowford Road. Police said he likely died after being hit in the head with a cement block.
According to the report, police said they received a call of a possible homicide around 7:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road.
Investigators used surveillance video from surrounding businesses to help identify potential suspects. By Saturday afternoon, Oscar Martinez, 33, confessed that he acted alone in the murder.

Martinez is being held in DeKalb County Jail. Police are asking that anyone with information to contact the Chamblee Police at 770-986-5005.
