Oglethorpe's Athlete of the Week

Junior guard Alec Pitts has been selected as the Petrel Council's Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performances on the hardwood this past weekend.

The guard from Mongomery, Ala. averaged 16 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 4 steals per game and 2.5 assists per game as Oglethorpe split two weekend contests against Rhodes and Millsaps. His late steal and bucket nearly propelled Oglethorpe to an upset win over the Lynx on Friday and he poured in 17 points in Oglethorpe's Sunday win over Millsaps.

Pitts and his teammates will be back in action this Friday when they face Sewanee in a critical matchup as Oglethorpe tries to position themselves for postseason play.
