Every startup begins with a spark. First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of its Epiphany program, a faith-based social entrepreneurship incubator supporting startups tackling today’s most pressing challenges. Epiphany is an evergreen initiative that equips entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to social issues with funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance. If you are an emerging founder with a vision to address societal challenges often overlooked by traditional markets, Epiphany offers the resources needed to help your venture grow. Examples of qualifying ventures include businesses that employ formerly incarcerated individuals or adults with developmental challenges, as well as enterprises offering services such as coding training for refugees or mechanical skills development in low-income communities. Since its launch, Epiphany has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants and supported multiple successful ventures, including Refuge Coffee Co., PadSplit, and Purposeful Gourmet Foods. Modeled in part after the format of Shark Tank, the program provides early-stage entrepreneurs with capital, mentorship, and access to a network focused on impact areas such as hunger, homelessness, housing, refugee resettlement, racial equity, poverty, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. Head Coach Peter Howell earned his 100th career dual match win as the squad won its third straight match over a <a href="http://www.scacsports.com/landing/index" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC)</a> team in Birmingham-Southern, 7-2 this weekend. Playing with the starting lineup, the Petrels took two of three doubles points to set the stage for the historic win in singles action. Oglethorpe then claimed matches at No.'s 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles to lift Howell to the milestone win. Felix Mann went 2-0 on the evening and Bryan Bailey clinched the match for Oglethorpe with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5. It took Howell only 8 seasons to eclipse the 100 win mark for his career. The Petrels are now 14-3 on the season and will look to close out the season with a 4-0 mark against SCAC opponents with a win over Hendrix on Sunday morning. Oglethorpe wraps up the 2011 campaign prior to the SCAC Tournament with a match against regionally ranked Washington and Lee on April 18 at 3:00 p.m. on Downing Howell Courts.
