Pooches Invited To The Pool For Doggy Dip Day In Brookhaven

Pooches are invited to the pool at Murphey Candler Park for Doggy Dip Day in Brookhaven on Sept. 10.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- With the dog days of summer still afoot (or afur in this case), Brookhaven is inviting pooches to the Murphey Candler pool on Sunday, Sept. 10 for one last splash.

Small dogs up to 35 pounds will be permitted from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while dogs more than 35 pounds can join in from 3 to 4:30 p.m., according to the city's Parks & Recreation Department. "Doggy Dip Day is a great way to say goodbye to summer after our pools close for the season on Sept. 4,” said Brookhaven Aquatics Coordinator Jason Collins.

The event will be attended by several pet-oriented vendors, including sponsor Bark & Board.

Murphey Candler Park is located at 1551 W. Nancy Creek Drive. The cost of the event is $10 per dog.
