Publix to Discontinue Curbside Service

Jan. 27 will be the last day to place an order for pickup on Saturday, Jan. 28.

If you're one of many who enjoyed the convenience of bypassing long lines and shuffling up and down store aisles at the Town Brookhaven Publix by ordering groceries in advance, brace yourself: Curbside service is schedueld to be nixed by the end of the month.

Although the service was one of the many conveniences touted by the chain when it opened in Spring 2011 as Publix's first hybrid store in Metro Atlanta, the grocer recently informed its customers on its website that it will no longer offer the services because the service did not reach the projected number of customers.
