Round 2 in Books at 2011 Jekyll Collegiate Invitational

The best men's and women's collegiate golfers in the country teed up and completed round two at the 2011 Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational this weekend hosted by Oglethorpe. Both the men's and women's squads of Methodist University rose to the top of the leaderboard as the team's head into tomorrow's final round.

The Stormy Petrel men fired a round two total of 299, five strokes better than yesterday, but remain in a tie for 12th place, 24 strokes behind the leading Monarchs. The Oglethorpe women improved their round one total as well by firing a 346 and are also in 12th place. Dona Kioseff is leading the way for the women in a tie for 25th place individually while Eric Quinn paces the men in a tie for 13th overall.
