Volunteers Needed For 5th Annual Storm Drain Marker Event

This year the project will focus on the E. Nancy Creek/Berkford Circle/Brawley Circle/Perimeter Summit Parkway areas.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The city is seeking participants for its 5th Annual Storm Drain Marker Volunteer Event on Saturday, March 23, from 10 am to noon. This year the project will focus on the E. Nancy Creek/Berkford Circle/Brawley Circle/Perimeter Summit Parkway areas. Volunteers will park and meet at the cul-de-sac at Triple Creek Ct. off E. Nancy Creek Drive at 9:45 a.m. to receive instructions and materials.

This community service project:

  • is appropriate for all ages and group sizes
  • is flexible enough to fit into busy schedules
  • requires minimal time
  • is easy to do

Volunteers will glue plastic discs to storm drains reminding residents that “No Dumping” helps all of us and protects the environment. The City will provide all materials needed for this event.

“This will be a fun and instructive event that will benefit the City of Brookhaven by protecting and preserving our beautiful and unique water resources,” said Brookhaven Stormwater Manager Greg Scotchie.
