Buckhead Shooting Death Investigation Unfolds From Lenox Woods Apartment Car Crash

ATLANTA, GA – What appeared to be a deadly car crash Monday evening in Buckhead turned into a homicide investigation.

Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department paramedics were called to the wreck Monday just before 7 p.m. where a BMW crashed into the leasing offices of the Lenox Woods apartment complex at 2500, officials said.

But when they pulled the driver from the vehicle, police said first responders found that man had a gunshot wound in his side.

He was taken to an area hospital where he later died, police said.

Atlanta Police Department homicide detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The victim has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
