Fulton Hearings on Proposed 2014 Millage Rate Increase

The potential property tax increase could represent an increase of more 17 percent for county homeowners.

On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted to propose a 2014 General Fund millage rate of 11.781 mills and a Bond Fund millage rate of 0.27 mills. Fulton County’s current General Fund millage rate is 10.211 mills. The proposed 2014 rate would be the first increase to Fulton County’s General Fund Millage Rate since 1991.

The proposed South Fulton Tax District millage rate is 12.469 mills; this rate remains the same as the 2013 rate.

The Board of Commissioners invites the public to provide input during three upcoming public hearings:

All public hearings will take place at the Fulton County Government Center, Assembly Hall, 141 Pryor Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303.  The public may also participate via videoconferencing from the South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park 30049, and the North Fulton Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, 30350.
