With the 2013-14 school year for Cartersville and Bartow schools fast approaching on Wednesday, Aug. 7, here's a few things you should know:
Open Houses: Most schools hold a series of open houses and orientations for students and parents before the kids head back. Here's the schedule for Cartersville city schools, while Bartow schools' schedules can be found here.
Paperwork, Paperwork, Paperwork: Requirements students must meet in Bartow before going back to school include proof of immunizations and proof of residence.
Supply Lists: The Cartersville City School System has supply lists posted on its website for grades K-2 and grades 3-5.
School Meals: School meals this year cost from $1.25 to $2.50 in Cartersville schools and $1.10 to $2.25 in Bartow.
