An Adairsville High School student faces disciplinary action after making a false report that led to heightened security Wednesday.
ADAIRSVILLE, GA — An Adairsville High School student faces disciplinary action and possible police charges after making a false report led to heightened security at the school Wednesday.
"Upon thorough investigation, Bartow County School Police, along with other local, state, and federal authorities have concluded that a false report of a school threat led to heightened security measures at Adairsville High School Wednesday, March 6, 2019," said Alisha Evans, communications director, Bartow County School System, in a statement to Patch.
"A suspect now faces disciplinary action and charges could be pending," she said. "Let this serve as a reminder that the Bartow County School System Police Department takes all threats seriously, investigates, and prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law."
