Annual Feed The Community Dinner On Nov. 17

New Frontier of Bartow County seeks volunteers and donations for its 18th annual event that will be held at the Cartersville Civic Center.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Organizers behind New Frontier of Bartow County's 18th annual Feed the Community Dinner are putting the final touches on its volunteer-driven initiative that reaches thousands of residents each year.

This year's event in honor of former New Frontier member Michael Dean will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Cartersville Civic Center at 435 West Main Street.

The menu will feature a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and services such as including blood pressure checks and HIV testing, along with free clothing, toys, and haircuts will be provided on-site. Everyone in the community is invited to attend, regardless of race, gender, income, political affiliation, religion, or sexual orientation.

Organizers are hoping the community will once again come together and lend a hand in this massive operation. Residents interested in volunteering can contact William Solomon at (404) 625-3880. Volunteer opportunities include serving of the food, helping with the clothes closet, parking lot attendants, and clean up. This is a great opportunity for high school students in need of volunteer service hours.
