Bartow Area Food-Service Inspections: Cass High, Woodland High

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — With classes now underway, most of the 21 restaurant and food-service inspections conducted over the last few weeks in Bartow County were at schools.

The good news is that every school cafeteria inspected scored a perfect 100. In fact, 11 of 21 places inspected scored 100, and all but one place scored an A.

One restaurant, though — Harris Five Forks Cafe in Kingston — scored only a 66 and was rated "unacceptable." A link to its inspection is included with its listing below. Low-scoring restaurants typically are given a second chance and re-inspected a few weeks later.

How They're Rated

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points. Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70 and U for less than 70.
