Bartow County Fire Destroys Home, Claims One Life

Fire destroyed a home off Bells Ferry Road Wednesday and killed a man in it.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — A man was found dead Wednesday in a house destroyed by fire off Bells Ferry Road in White.

According to Bartow Fire and Emergency Services as reported by WBHF Community Radio, first responders arrived at a split-level house at 22 High Point Dr. around midday, the structure already engulfed in flames. After an “aggressive attack” on the blaze, fire fighters discovered a dead man upstairs in a bedroom.

The victim was taken to the Bartow County Coroner’s office for identification, according to the Cartersville radio station. He has not yet been identified publicly.

The house was a total loss. The fire is still under investigation.
