BCSO Seeks To ID Suspects In Walmart Price Tag Scheme
The man and woman allegedly scanned several packets of Kool-Aid in place of the actual tag of items they took from Walmart in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance snapshots of the man and woman accused of using the bar codes on Kool-Aid packets to lower the price of the groceries they took from Walmart in Cartersville.
The sheriff's office said on its Facebook page that the pair used the store's self checkout lane to scan several packets of Kool-Aid in place of the actual tag of items they took from the store.
According to the employee who reported the alleged theft to a BSCO deputy, an unknown male and female "acting in concert" took packets of Kool-Aid, valued at $.24 each, and placed them under items they were "buying," thus scanning the much cheaper item instead of the original product, an incident report from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office notes.
