Cartersville Crime: DUI Accident, Giving Police Wrong Name
A DUI accident, a man giving police the wrong name and other incidents were reported by Cartersville Police this week.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the city. Arrests do not equal convictions.
- A 23-year-old woman was arrested and charged with DUI-Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol to the extent that it is less safe for the person to drive and following too closely after a traffic accident March 28 at Mayflower Street at Goodyear Avenue. No one was injured. The woman was transported to the Bartow County Jail after a field sobriety tast and blood was drawn at a local hospital.
- A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with probation violation, March 28.
- A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with giving false name, address, or birthdate to a law enforcement officer, March 28. The arrest was made during a traffic stop due to an inoperable tag light, at 1155 Burnt Hickory Road (Amerimart). The man had an active warrant through Bartow County.
