Cartersville FD Raises Thousands For GA Firefighters Burn Foundation
The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation recently recognized the Cartersville Fire Department for placing third overall in money raised.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation recently recognized the Cartersville Fire Department for raising funds last year to benefit the organization's missions and programs.
In 2021, the fire department placed third overall in money raised and fourth place per capita for the foundation.
"Thanks to you and your generosity, we raised $17,601.93...and the Burn Foundation is unbelievably grateful for your support! We appreciate YOU!!" the City of Cartersville recently posted to Facebook.

According to the foundation, Give Burns The Boot began in 1990 and raised $76,000 that first year from the participation of 23 fire departments throughout the Peach State.
GBTB grew to include the participation of over 200 fire departments across the state, raising over 17 million dollars since its inception.

The GFBF also supports a Give Burns The Boot Investment Credit Program through which participating fire departments receive ten percent of the funds they collected to be used towards fire safety/burn prevention programs in their communities.
To date, over 1.7 million dollars has been reinvested in communities throughout the state.
