  1. After three decades of serving as the Cartersville High School piano and chorus teacher, Jim Stanley announced that this will be his last year at the school. To celebrate his service, former students of the teacher gathered to perform one final concert together. The video went viral on TikTok with several million views and has touched the hearts of people across the country. The video can be seen here. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is seeking any information about two men who jumped 19-year-old Caleb Demond Thomas in Cartersville on Tuesday. Thomas was seen running from their vehicle, a silver, four-door Toyota Tacoma, before the men jumped out and beat him, according to police. Thomas later died from his injuries in Piedmont Cartersville Hospital. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the criminal investigation division at 770-382-5050 ext. 6025.   3. This year's summer reading program at the Bartow County Library System starts soon! The program will begin on May 26 and end on Jul. 29. This year's theme is "All Together Now."
