Chattahoochee Tech to Host Manufacturing Career Fair

The career fair is scheduled for Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school's North Metro campus.

Chattahoochee Technical College will host a manufacturing industry career fair on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Metro Campus, 5198 Ross Road in Acworth. The event is open to the public.

“As a complement to our overall mission of workforce development in our six-county service area, Chattahoochee Tech hosts career fair events throughout the academic year,” Career Service Specialist Jesse Moyers said. “These events target industry sectors where job openings are in demand and our employer partners have reached out to us to assist with identifying qualified applicants.”

He said the event will focus on students and graduates in programs of study such as Air Conditioning Technology, Commercial Truck Driving, Drafting, Industrial Maintenance and Electric Technology, Welding and Joining and more.

“At the career fair, we will again target the manufacturing industry, where growth and expansion continue to drive hiring needs, and welcome over 35 employers to our North Metro Campus,” Moyers said.

Job seekers can expect to network with participating employers and will have the opportunity to apply for jobs.

“I encourage anyone seeking a career in the manufacturing industry to come by and see what these employers have to offer,” Moyers said. “These are well-paying careers and many of these businesses are located in your own backyard.”

Organizations participating in the career fair include the Atlanta Braves, Crane Nuclear, Georgia Power, Inalfa Roof Systems, Kauffman Tire, Belnick Incorporated, Coca-Cola, Toyo, Yancey Bros. and Warner Architectural Associates.
