Cops Arrest Men Accused Of Damaging Sidewalk Lights

The two men were captured on camera stomping out two sidewalk pothole lights on West Main Street in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Two men have been charged with damaging two sidewalk pothole lights last month in Cartersville. Police investigators located and identified the two male subjects caught on camera damaging the lights at 34 West Main Street.

The pair, Scott Clifton Kick and Landon Robert Sorenson, were arrested Oct. 11 and charged with one count each of felony criminal damage to property in the second degree, the police department said Thursday on its Facebook page.

Two men were captured on camera at 11:24 p.m. Sept. 14 damaging the lights, which are valued at roughly $1,500. Police believe the two were possibly patrons of the Local Bar and Grill on South Erwin Street earlier in the evening before the lights were damaged.

"Case solved thanks to some fast cooperation from those who follow this page," Cartersville police said.

Sorenson and Kick have each been booked into the Bartow County Jail with a $3,000 bond.
