For the sixth year in a row, eggs will fall on Dellinger Park in celebration of Easter. West Ridge Church's Cartersville Egg Drop is an Easter egg hunt with a twist, according to organizers.
"It's an Easter egg hunt, only much cooler. In addition to tons of eggs on the field, we'll drop thousands of eggs from a helicopter," said volunteer Rebekah Warren. "Your kids will have a blast collecting eggs that can be redeemed for tons of candy."
Beginning at 11 a.m., separate drops will accommodate age groups—2 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12—and children with special needs.
