Harbin Clinic Breaks Ground On New Cartersville Building
The new 34,000-square-foot building is expected to be finished in summer 2019 and will house both new and expanded specialties.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — Physicians and executives turned fresh earth as part of the ground breaking ceremony held Thursday, Oct. 18 to celebrate a new era for Harbin Clinic Cartersville. About 100 people were on hand for the ceremony at 200 Gentilly Boulevard, which is located next to the company's existing facility.
The new 34,000-square-foot building is expected to be finished in summer 2019 and will house both new and expanded specialties.
“This is a fantastic day for Harbin Clinic and Northwest Georgia,” said Dr. Maxwell Prempeh, assistant medical director for Bartow County. “We’re increasing our ability to care for more people and families, providing excellent medicine with more space and more specialties. This is the future of Harbin Clinic.”

The new addition is the latest example of the health organization’s focus on growing its services in Bartow County, said Harbin Clinic CEO Kenna Stock.
“We’re not only expanding the breadth of our specialties offered in the area, but we’re aiming to nurture the wellness of the community by hosting healthy events for families and increasing our presence in the area overall,” Stock added.

This year, the United Way of Bartow county added Harbin Clinic as the title sponsor for the Harbin Clinic Turkey Trot 5K & Health Wobble, which will be held Nov. 17. You can learn more about the 5K by visiting its website.
Harbin Clinic Cartersville established two new specialties in 2017 and added eight new physicians to join the clinic in Bartow County. Dr. Riaz Gill established Harbin Clinic Gastroenterology Cartersville and Dr. Clare Foss established Harbin Clinic Dermatology Cartersville.
Six new physicians joined established Harbin practices in Cartersville in 2017. Dr. John Simmons II joined Harbin Clinic General Surgery; Dr. Jason Andersen joined Harbin Clinic Orthopedics; Dr. Afu Abdul joined Harbin Clinic Nephrology and Drs. Digant Bhatt and Rajeeve Subbiah joined Harbin Clinic Cardiology and Dr. Donna Gregory joined Harbin Clinic Family Medicine.
In April 2018, Harbin Clinic celebrated the opening for the new building housing Harbin Clinic Family Medicine & Pediatrics Adairsville. The location on North Central Avenue is 10,140 square feet and has room for future expansion, enabling the clinic to care more completely and comfortably for families in North Bartow.
