The man told dispatchers he gave another man $35 to take him from DeKalb County to Tennessee and that he became stranded, police said. • A 47-year-old Adairsville man was charged on suspicion of loitering and prowling and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers Thursday after leading police on a brief chase, police said. Officers responded around 8:45 a.m. on a suspicious persons call in the 1100 block of Tennessee Street. The man, who carried a bag in his hand near a lawn-care business, was accused of throwing the bag in a nearby dumpster and refusing to stop for officers, police said. The man then ran and jumped a fence, still refusing to stop, police said. Officers tased the man and ultimately arrested him, police said. When asked why he ran, he told officers he was scared, police said. "It should be noted, during the contact with (the man), he was observed to be rapidly speaking and speaking in a state of delirium similar to that of an individual under the influence of a stimulant narcotic," police said in an incident report. The man, who was on probation, refused a urinary analysis, police said.

After pulling close to the victim's car, the woman was accused of throwing a drink into the person's car. When officers tried to secure camera footage, staffers told them the external cameras were fake, police said. The woman was eventually charged on suspicion of criminal trespass-damage to property, police said.
