The Woodstock man is accused of taking nearly a dozen radios from vehicles at a car dealership in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Police have arrested and charged a Woodstock man accused of taking several radios from brand new vehicles at car dealerships in Bartow and Cherokee counties.
Cartersville police have charged Chad Lindsey Abell with 11 counts of entering auto related to an incident reported in early September. Cartersville police said Friday that 11 radios were taken from vehicles at the Robert Loehr Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership at 567 East Main Street.
According to a Cartersville Police Department incident report, a complainant arrived at work on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and discovered several vehicles were broken into and their radios had been removed. Three radios were missing from Jeep Wranglers, two from Jeep Renegades, one from a Jeep Compass, two from Jeep Cherokees and three from Dodge Ram, the report adds. The complainant who initiated the incident report told police none of the vehicles appeared to have been damaged, as the radios were taken apart using screws and clips.

Cartersville police investigators collaborated with their counterparts with the Canton Police Department and Cherokee Sheriff's Office to identify Abell as the alleged perpetrator behind the thefts.
