More Than 500 Vote Early Saturday In Bartow County

The Bartow County Elections Office said more than 7,200 voters have cast ballots during the advance voting period for the Nov. 6 elections.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — More than 500 voters took advantage of an opportunity to cast ballots this weekend in Bartow County, which opened its Voter Registration and Elections Office doors Oct. 27 for early voting.

Cheryl Billard, assistant elections supervisor with the county, said 538 citizens showed up to the headquarters on Saturday to vote in the Nov. 6 general election, bringing the advance voting tally to 7,218 so far.

"We are very encouraged that our daily totals have stayed consistent and anticipate even better turnout going into our final week," she said.

Advance voting continues next week at the elections office at 1300 Joe Frank Harris Parkway as well as following three satellite locations Monday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Nov. 2:

  • Allatoona Resource Center, 6503 Glade Road, Acworth
  • Cartersville Civic Center, 435 West Main Street, Cartersville
  • Manning Mill Park, 163B Manning Mill Road, Adairsville

Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the main registration office and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the three satellite locations.

Billard added the office is "most excited" about the opening of the three more locations to give Bartow residents more opportunities to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

No voting will be held Monday, Nov. 5, and all polls across Bartow County will open for Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6. If you are a traditionalist and plan to vote on Election Day, please note that you must vote at your assigned precinct location on Nov. 6.
