Motorcyclist Injured In Cartersville Crash
The two-vehicle collision involving a truck and motorcycle was reported Friday on Joe Frank Harris Parkway and Gentilly Boulevard.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle collision reported early Friday in the city of Cartersville. Troopers were called in by Cartersville police around 7 a.m. Sept. 7 to investigate an accident between a motorcycle and pickup truck on Joe Frank Harris Parkway at Gentilly Boulevard.
A preliminary report from the state agency indicates the motorcycle operated by 54-year-old Andrew Durham was traveling southbound on U.S. 41/Ga. 3 while a blue Chevrolet Avalanche was going northbound.
The truck tried to make a left turn onto Gentilly Boulevard when it entered the intersection to make the traffic maneuver. However, the motorcycle struck the right side of the Chevrolet in the intersection, GSP said.
