Naked Woman Walks into Cartersville Store, Leaves

The local woman with red ink on her face, arms and legs was jailed on a charge of indecent exposure.

A Cartersville woman walked nude into a convenience store Friday night, according to the Cartersville Police Department.

The cashier called authorities about 10:40 p.m. to the Citgo at 1144 N. Tennessee St. to report the woman "walked into the Citgo naked, then walked to the bathroom, only to turn around after opening the door, and then walked outside," according to the incident report, above.

When police arrived, emergency medical workers were tending to the woman with what appeared to be red paint on her legs, hands and face. She was given a cloth suit to wear.

Identified as Tina Latrell Johnson, 49, of Dogwood Drive in Cartersville, said she didn't know why she was in the nude or how she came to be naked. Johnson told police she also didn't know how she got to the gas station.

Police found Johnson's clothes along with a red marker, which they asked if she had been "huffing," or inhaling the fumes from it.

She denied the allegation, and told police, "she has never done anything like this in her life," the report says.

Johnson was jailed on a public indecency charge.
