No Foul Play Suspected After Body Found In Fiery Car In Bartow Co.

Bartow County deputies found a body inside of a burning car this week on Interstate 75 south.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — A person was found dead inside of a fiery car Sunday on Interstate 75 in Adairsville, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday.

Bartow County deputies responded around 7:30 a.m. to the vehicle fire on I-75 south, the GBI said. When they arrived, they saw a person dead inside of the car, the GBI said.

It is unknown what led to the fire, but the GBI said no foul play was suspected as of Wednesday.

A cause of death is unknown. The body, which was not identified, was taken to the GBI Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, authorities said.
