Passenger Killed In Cartersville Accident
The two-car collision was reported Friday on U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway at South Bridge Drive in Cartersville.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — One person was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Cartersville. Officers with the Cartersville Police Department asked the Georgia State Patrol to investigate the fatal crash around 10 a.m. Sept. 7 on Joe Frank Harris Parkway at South Bridge Drive.
GSP states a black Honda Accord was traveling northbound on the highway in the left turn lane while a gold Ford Tempo was going southbound on the highway in the right lane.
A preliminary investigation shows the Honda failed to yield while making a left turn onto South Bridge Drive, causing the Ford to strike the Honda on the right side, the state agency said.
