Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Train In Cartersville
The person and the train were heading the same way on the tracks, when the train hit the person near West Avenue and South Erwin Street.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — A pedestrian walking north on the tracks near West Avenue and South Erwin Street was fatally hit by a train Saturday night, Cartersville Police said Monday.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. Police said the train was traveling north on the same tracks and could not stop in time, hitting the person. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not identify the pedestrian.
