Police Fire At Man Who Tried To Run Them Over In SUV: Cartersville PD

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Cartersville officers fired at a man who attempted to run them over with his SUV while he was being served a warrant just after midnight Friday, the department said.

The shooting happened in the 1300 block of East Main Street, where officers say the man also refused to exit his car before they fired into the SUV and struck him.

The man was taken to Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center with injuries that are not life threatening, according to police.

Police said no officers were injured.
