  1. After the State Democratic Primary Runoff election that took place on Tuesday, the votes have finally been tallied and winners have been announced. Charlie Bailey, Bee Nguyen, Janie Laws Robinson, and Will Boddie Jr. all won their respective categories. Despite a voter turnout being very slim, with a total of 720 ballots, the candidates for November's primary election for governor have now been selected. 2. In the midst of an ongoing national blood shortage, the American Red Cross is encouraging the community to give blood. There will be multiple opportunities for blood donations this July in the Cartersville area. Individuals who give blood between Jun. 30 and Jul. 10 at a local drive will receive a complimentary tote bag from Red Cross while supplies last. (WGRA News)
