Stolen Car Sting Operation Nets 2 Arrests, 14 Charges: Police
Two people were arrested for trying to sell a stolen car Thursday and face a host of drug charges, according to Cartersville Police.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Two people were arrested Thursday for trying to sell a stolen car and face a host of drug possession charges, according to Cartersville Police.
The Cartersville Police Criminal Investigations Division discovered a stolen car for sale in the local area. Investigators identified the people in possession of the car and conducted an undercover operation in order to purchase the vehicle. In coordination with the Bartow Cartersville Drug Task Force and Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, investigators located and arrested two people for multiple charges stemming from the stolen car. The stolen car, other stolen items and illegal drugs were recovered by investigators.
Nicholas Adam Brown was arrested and charged with theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, theft by receiving, theft by bringing stolen property into state, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, obstruction, false name and date of birth, forgery 2nd degree, affixing a plate to misrepresent the identity of a vehicle and driving while license suspended.

Kimberly Marie Smith was arrested and charged with theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, theft by receiving, theft by bringing stolen property into state, possession of methamphetamine and fugitive from justice.
