Stolen Truck Recovered During Traffic Stop

Two people were arrested after Adairsville police confirmed the truck was reported stolen several months ago from Whitfield County.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — An Adairsville officer conducting a traffic stop Monday morning stumbled upon a vehicle reported stolen several months ago from another county.

Officer Justin Brumbelow made the stop around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1 on a gray 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Adairsville police say the traffic stop was conducted due to the registration showing the tag belonged to a truck reported stolen from Whitfield County.

The truck pulled into Virgil's Home and Garden Decor on Joe Frank Harris Parkway and following an on-scene investigation, the truck was confirmed to have been stolen and the vehicle's occupants, Zachary Beau Lusk of Plainville and Kelly Dawn Pankey of Ringgold, were arrested.
