Suspected Explosive Found During Cartersville Crash
The possible explosive was found Thursday while police were searching a car.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A possible explosive was found during a crash Thursday morning in Cartersville, police said.
Police were arresting a suspect around 8:15 a.m. at North Erwin Street near Cassville Road on suspicion of driving under the influence-drugs and possession of a schedule II controlled substance, police said. While searching the car, officers found the device, police said.

Police requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. As of late Thursday morning, officers were waiting on the GBI's arrival.
