Teen Killed In Cartersville Shooting
The 14-year-old boy who was shot was life flighted to Scottish Rite Hospital before later dying, police said.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — A 14-year-old boy who was shot Monday has died, Cartersville Police said Tuesday.
The boy, who was not identified, was taken to Cartersville Piedmont Hospital for treatment before being life flighted to Scottish Rite for additional treatment, police said. He was later pronounced dead, police said.
The circumstances and location of the shooting are unknown.

"The investigation is still ongoing. Out of respect for the family, and the nature of the incident, we will not be releasing any further details," police said in a news release.
