Tennessee Man Dies In Van Wreck On U.S. 41, Speed A Factor

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A Tennessee man that authorities said was traveling too fast for conditions died Saturday after he drove his van off U.S. Highway 41 near Kelli Clark Court.

Ted Creel, 53, of Madison, Tennessee, lost control of his van just before 3:30 p.m., spun it off the east shoulder of the highway, then hit two trees.

Creel died Saturday from his injuries, according to a report from the Georgia State Patrol.
