Toyo Tire will build a 254,000-square-foot facility, which is expected to meet an annual production capacity of 2.4 million passenger cars.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. announced it will invest more than $138 million and create more than 150 jobs in Cartersville, Gov. Nathan Deal said Tuesday. New jobs will be in production, support and administrative positions.
Toyo Tire, which already has a presence in Bartow County, manufactures and sells radial tires for light trucks and passenger vehicles.
"As the No. 1 state for business, Georgia offers the strategic resources necessary to retain dynamic companies and support industry leaders in long-term growth," said Deal. "Toyo Tires is a valued member of Georgia’s family of innovative automotive manufacturers and suppliers, and it’s clear that the company’s leadership recognizes the benefits of operating in our competitive economic environment. By choosing Cartersville over international competition, Toyo Tires will continue to hire from Georgia’s talented workforce and utilize our highly connected transportation infrastructure to reach its growing customer base."

In 2016, Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. became the Toyo Tires Group’s largest manufacturing operation with an annual production capacity of 11.5 million tires.
The state-of-the-art Toyo Tires manufacturing facility in Bartow County began operations in 2006 and features a proprietary Advanced Tire Operation Module production system. The location of the facility was chosen to enhance distribution and inventory availability to meet the increasing demands for Toyo and Nitto tires sold through Toyo Tires’ expanding network of retailers.
Bartow County Sole Commissioner Steve Taylor said the county was "fortunate" to be named as Toyo Tires' home years ago, and it is honored to have the company commit to investing in the area.
"We strive for long-term partnerships with our industries and this partnership has been incredibly successful," Taylor added. "Toyo Tires certainly has had a significant impact on Georgia’s automotive sector and Bartow’s economy, with many accolades to show for it."
Taylor went on to say that the company has also been a partner in giving back to the community, as they have made donations and volunteered at schools and helped citizens in need.
"All in all, they’re just great neighbors, and it’s a pleasure to support the company’s growth again," the commissioner said.
