Woman in Serious Condition After Car Flips Over in Cartersville Accident

The accident took place in the area of Highway 41 and the Red Top Auto auction.

A woman is in serious condition after she was ejected from her car which flipped over in an accident in Cartersville Monday afternoon.

Bartow County medical crews (BCEMS) and firefighters (BCFD) responded to the area of Highway 41 at the Red Top Auto auction Monday to find the overturned car and the woman lying nearby, having been ejected during the accident. Medical responders said the woman was unconscious and unresponsive when they found her, and had "numerous injuries."

The woman, as yet unidentified, was loaded into an ambulance. According to BCEMS, a firefighter was needed to drive the ambulance so that both paramedics could treat the patient en route to Kennestone Hospital.
